Adlabs join FilmLab, and a host of other facilities in adopting PFClean for DI and restoration.

Adlabs are the latest facility to join the growing number of Indian facilities adopting PFClean as a key pipeline tool. Adlabs will implement PFClean in the new 4K based facility for DI image clean up prior the grading. Using both GUI and command-line versions of the software working along side FilmLight's Baselight will provide India's first true 4K facility.
After extensive research into the market FilmLab also selected PFClean as the backbone of their growing DI and Film Restoration pipeline. Handling both new and historic film using both digital and optical technologies FilmLab can now provide a full DI service adding to its extensive film handling capabilities.
Henning Hahn CTO of Filmlab India explained: “we decided to purchase PFClean after
comparing the competing software packages feeling PFClean was not only the most user friendly and intuitive application but also its combination of automated and manual cleanup tools convinced us.” He adds: “the fact that PFClean runs on our platform of choice, OSX, with no special hardware requirements was a major plus. Realtime playback of 2k material the ability to have a splitscreen for comparison made our decision even easier. The scalability of PFClean is a big plus. Flexible licensing and adding more workstations without ending up having to invest in expensive SAN solutions was an important factor.” :
PFClean is the first application to offer a fully hardware accelerated toolset in this market. Using totally new massively parallised algorithms, processes have been ported to use the GPU rather than the CPU. Using this 'stream computing' methodology PFClean offers unrivalled performance in a cost effective turn key system.
