Hi all,
I've already set up a 3d scene in 3dsmax for a still plate with a moving head that I want to geotrack. Also, I have aligned the head geometry very precisely in the 3d file so that I can project texture onto it at a frame I have selected. I have exported my camera as an alembic and my 3d head but, of course, the 3d head comes in at the origin. Is there any way to preserve its transforms so that when I import it into PFtrack along-side my camera alembic file, they will match as in 3dsmax? So my head doesn't have to be aligned a second time in PFTrack?
Any help much appreciated.
Kind Regards,
Nathan.
Hi Simon,
Thanks so much for your quick response. I haven’t tried exporting my mesh as part of the alembic. I just used obj as it wasn’t animated. It just needs to match on the frame I remodeled the head over and projected textures from. Then I will track forward and backward from there. I will give it a try tomorrow. Sounds promising!
Thankyou again.
Kind regards,
Nathan.
