I need to know why an option "Lens model: from preset" under Input Clitp -> Undistort Panel is disabled. I have a undistort file in .xml format but can't use it, because this option is blocked.
Normally, if the 'From Preset' in the Undistort Panel is greyed out, the 'Use Camera Preset' option has not been selected yet. In the example below, I clicked the camera icon and selected the correct preset. By default, the Undistort Panel will use the 'From Preset' option, once the Camera Model preset is selected.
This can be one of two things if you can't see your preset in the dropdown.
The resolution of the input clip does not match the preset.
The Camera and Lens preset has not yet been loaded.
If you haven't loaded your .xml in yet, don't worry; it's super easy. Just go to the camera and lens presets using the button on the left. From there, go to the Preset Manager on the right, click the 'Import Camera Preset' button, and select your .xml file.
If your preset matches your input clip resolution, you will be able to now select it from the dropdown in the 'Camera Model' section, and Undistort will automatically be applied.
If you've loaded your preset through the preset manager (as shown above), it likely means the preset doesn't align with the clip you're trying to track and therefore will not be selectable.
The first step is to verify the resolution of the chart clip used to create the calibration preset and ensure it exactly matches the resolution of the clip you're tracking.
If the preset was provided by someone else, it's a good idea to reach out to them and confirm the resolution.

Hope this helps.
