This is something that's been driving me nuts for a while. I'm working on a shot and pftrack just refuses to track it. I'm attaching screen shots of the first and last frames

The shot is a simple tilt up with a slight move to camera left (handheld camera. But the track is going absolutely batsh*t and I have no idea why. The tracking points look solid, but when I solve, it does these shenanigans. Properly masked etc.
Hello Paul,
Shots with low parallax can be a bit tricky. If part of your shot is translating and another part is just a pan/tilt then the first thing you should do is make sure your initial frames are placed in the part of the shot with the translation so you've got some parallax to work with, and check the initial solution in the solver to make sure it looks good before continuing with the rest of the shot.
It also looks like you may have your camera translation set to the default "Free" which means it can translate in any way to best fit your image data. Depending on how much motion you have, you may get a better result with one of the other translation options such as "Small".
