Hello Oliver,

If PFTrack is hanging at random moments that usually points to an issue with the system rather than PFTrack itself. If the message you are seeing is saying PFTrack is not responding, this may indicate it's waiting for something to finish, which can happen if something else is slowing down or blocking access to your disk, network, or another system dependency, especially if you're using network attached storage for either your projects or media.

A good first step on Windows is to reinstall PFTrack because this also makes sure the correct C++ runtime library is installed. This library is shared between different software and can sometimes be overwritten by other applications which leads to stability problems.

If the problem continues, check the PFTrack log file or the command-line window for any hints. And as @buddhaboy01has helpfully suggested, try to notice any patterns. Knowing how often the hang occurs, and how long PFTrack has been running before it happens may also help. That information can help narrow down whether the issue is related to system stability, storage, or another part of your setup.
